An art worth cultivating; Storytelling

Do you have a story to tell? I can pretty much guarantee that you do. When talking with people in my life, I find their life stories fascinating. The issue is, with the digital age, the art of story telling and long form writing is dwindling fast. Amirite??

Having a deep love of history I find myself meandering through old cemeteries as much as I can. The stones have only a few words on them but under each marker is a lifetime of memories and experiences. It has been said the dash between dates is non-representative of the years it symbolizes. So much happens in the years where a dash now exists.

Writing your story can bring a realization of accomplishments, perseverance, triumph and great achievements. This exercise can be both healing and rewarding to practice.

There are a few projects that I am working on to highlight the importance and value writing your personal story can bring to you and your loved ones. Keep an eye out as we dive into this amazing project and open up a realm of possibilities.

How can we encourage one another to take the time and write down life experiences, to produce a record of a life well lived and lessons learned? I welcome your constructive comments below.

Blessings!
